Making super yachts safer

Could you save a person’s life through an app experience? Do apps conceived for safety and security at sea need to be badly designed? How can an app build for safety fit neatly into a luxury environment? Don’t the worlds fight?

I’ve been working out some of these questions with a private client on a consultancy basis, researching the audience, app landscape and the specifics around apps at sea. And it’s both rewarding and surprising.

We’re looking at the very best of yacht and automotive design traditions, combined with the latest experiential principles surrounding touch screen control of the world around us.

Our project goal is to complete a prototype app that brings our vision to life for the Cannes boat show later this year.
